The .au Domain Administration (auDA) launches the inaugural Asia Pacific Internet Governance Academy Australia (APIGA Australia), an intensive two day event to be held in Melbourne over 20-21 November 2024.

Submission to The Joint Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defence and Trade inquiry into Australia’s response to the priorities of Pacific Island countries and the Pacific Region.

auDA, alongside other country code Top Level Domain (ccTLD) managers CIRA for .ca, InternetNZ for .nz and Nominet for .uk, announced the establishment of a technical community Coalition dedicated to supporting multi-stakeholder internet governance, and invited others to join us in our mission. We are delighted to be able to share the Coalition’s Statement of Purpose.

auDA is pleased to report on the outcomes of the NETmundial+10, a multi-stakeholder internet governance and digital policy event held in São Paulo, Brazil on 29-30 April 2024.

auDA provides its views on the Zero Draft of the GDC was published on 2 April 2024 and was presented to UN Member States on 5 April 2024. It will be negotiated by governments over the next few months and is scheduled to be   adopted at the Summit of the Future in September 2024. 

auDA's submission to the NETmundial+10 is taking place in Sao Paulo, Brazil on 29-30 April, convened by the Brazilian Internet Steering Committee. The meeting will bring together government, private sector, civil society and technical stakeholders from around the world to discuss and build consensus on how to strengthen and improve the multi-stakeholder governance framework.

auDA recently provided a comments on the Internet Governance Forum (IGF) Leadership Panel's paper titled, The Internet We Want, which sets out a high-level vision for the future of the internet. The call for comments closed on 1 March 2024.

auDA, CIRA, InternetNZ and Nominet outline why an open, free, secure and global Internet requires effective multi-stakeholder internet governance.

A joint response to the consultation on proposed elements of the Global Digital Compact Zero Draft submitted by auDA, CIRA, InternetNZ and Nominet UK on 08 March 2024.

auDA hosted a webinar on 20 February 2024 in partnership with the Cyber Security Cooperative Research Centre (CSCRC) to explore the development and implementation of the 2023-2030 Australian Cyber Security Strategy, featuring Rosemary Sinclair AM, Rachael Falk, Hamish Hansford and Ambassador Brendan Dowling.
