.au Domain Administration Ltd (auDA) is a self-regulatory policy body that administers the .au domain name system (DNS) and aims to unlock positive social and economic value for all Australians through its support for an open, free, secure and global internet.
The .au domain is part of Australia’s suite of critical communications infrastructure. We work with a range of stakeholders including our members, industry, government and the Australian and international community to ensure the .au domain remains secure and reliable and supports the needs of Australian internet users. We accomplish this by developing and implementing effective .au policy rules, actively participating in multi-stakeholder internet governance processes locally and globally, and by continually investing in the Australian internet ecosystem to improve the utility of the .au domain.
The Opportunity
auDA’s independent Nomination Committee seeks applications from candidates for three Board positions. The Nomination Committee will approve five candidates for the Board to consider. Three of the approved candidates will stand for election for one position. Two of the candidates approved by the Committee will be directly appointed by the Board. The three Director positions will take effect after the 15 November 2023 AGM. Existing Directors are eligible to apply under auDA’s Constitution for a further term.
About You
Candidates wishing to be considered will need strong professional skills and demonstrated experience in some or all of the following areas to provide the depth and breadth of skills required of the auDA Board collectively:
- Strategy, planning and policy development
- Governance
- Global Multi-stakeholder Policy and Regulation
- Relevant technical and industry knowledge
- Innovation
- Stakeholder Relations
- Finance and Reporting.
In addition, the following personal qualities are essential:
- Ability to work collegiately and contribute constructively
- Sound business judgement and agile leadership
- Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity.
