On 23 January 2021 (AEDT), Donuts Inc. announced proposed changes to the shareholding of the ultimate holding company of the .au Registry Operator, Afilias Australia Pty Ltd (Afilias). This notification follows Donuts Inc.’s recent acquisition of Afilias Inc., which was informed by a separate due diligence process.
Under the Registry Licence Agreement between auDA and Afilias, any Change of Control of the Registry Operator requires the written consent of auDA.
Following a formal due diligence process to inform its decision regarding consent, the auDA Board has approved the Change of Control based on the results of the due diligence process.
auDA looks forward to continuing to work productively with Afilias and its parent company, Donuts Inc.
