auDA is aware of a phishing scam targeting .au domain name registrants via email.
The emails are sent by someone posing as an auDA employee and ask for either copies of identification documents or verification of contact information.

auDA will only request this kind of information via your registrar.
If you have provided your personal details in response to this email, you will need to make a report to your State or Territory police force, and to the Australian Cyber Security Centre via cyber.gov.au/report.
If you receive emails of this nature, please notify ACCC's Scamwatch.
