auDA is pleased to confirm the re-election of Elected Director Angelo Giuffrida and the election of two new Elected Directors, Wendy Thorpe and Mike Trovato to the auDA Board.
At this evening’s Annual General Meeting, held virtually, the results of the member-elected ballots were announced, confirming the successful election to the Board of Wendy Thorpe, Mike Trovato, and Angelo Giuffrida. Angelo has already served one three-year term as an Elected Director on the auDA Board.
auDA Chair, Alan Cameron AO said “We congratulate Wendy, Mike and Angelo on their election to the auDA Board and welcome Angelo for a second term. They bring a wealth of board and executive experience in the technology industry. We look forward to working with them and supporting auDA to administer a trusted and reliable .au and unlock positive social and economic value for Australians through an open, free, secure and global internet.”
The new Elected Directors will join Appointed Director and Independent Chair, Alan Cameron AO, Elected Director, Jackie Korhonen, and the Appointed Directors who were announced on 20 October 2022 and whose terms commence on 16 November 2022:
- Sandra Davey (previously an Elected Director)
- Peter Elford (continuing Appointed Director)
- Matthew Healy (continuing Appointed Director)
- Sandra Hook (newly appointed Director)
- Alice McCleary (continuing Appointed Director).
As auDA welcomes these three new Directors, it farewells three out-going Directors. As also announced on 12 October 2022, Directors James Atkins, Kate Cornick and Tania Fryer will retire from the auDA Board on 16 November 2022. They have each contributed greatly to auDA’s Board and governance processes and auDA wishes them every success in their future endeavours.

The auDA Constitution requires that the auDA Board consist of five Independent Directors, four Elected Directors, and one Independent Chairperson. The auDA Constitution can be found on the auDA website.
Alan Cameron AO was reappointed as an Appointed Director and the Independent Chair of the auDA Board for a three-year term from 16 February 2022. Jackie Korhonen was elected as an Elected Director to the auDA Board for a three-year term from 11 November 2020.
The voting process for the 2022 Elected Directors was managed independently of auDA by Link Market Services. The process enabled .au members to cast their vote electronically to elect candidates to fill three Elected Director positions on the auDA Board. The ballot opened on 20 October 2022, and closed on 14 November 2022 (at 5pm AEDT), after which votes were tallied by Link Market Services.
