auDA's work in this area is defined by three key goals:
We pursue these goals through a mix of direct participation in various organisations and processes at multiple levels, including:
- Australia-wide through Communications Alliance, Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA) and the Australian Internet Governance Forum (auIGF)
- Regionally through the Asia Pacific Top Level Domain Association (APTLD) and the Pacific Islands Telecommunications Association (PITA)
- Globally through the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) and the United Nations’ Internet Governance Forum (IGF), the OECD, and through more specific processes like the Internet and Jurisdiction Policy Network.
Thought leadership, collaboration and building relationships with relevant stakeholders and communities are integral to this work.
We demonstrate our commitment to thought leadership through our Internet Governance Roadmap, Public Policy Agenda, through formal submissions to government, hosting and participating in local forums and by sharing ideas via auDA webinars and on the .au blog.
We work openly and pragmatically with others and collaborate across the country, the region and globally to drive our commitment to our internet governance goals.
