Internet governance and public policy

Advocating for an open, free, secure and global internet on behalf of all Australians.

Multi-stakeholder internet governance

The internet works because a wide range of stakeholders collaborate to discuss its evolution and growth. This process is known as internet governance and auDA is a key Australian player in this work locally and globally.

auDA advocates for and actively participates in national and international multi-stakeholder internet governance processes. This is a core function of auDA as set out in the Terms of Endorsement from the Australian Government and a strategic focus area in our 2021-25 Strategy.

auDA also contributes to public policy discussion in Australia, providing its expertise on technology, digital transformation and internet related issues including through formal submissions to government, hosting and participating in local forums and by sharing ideas via auDA webinars and on the .au blog.
