Tuesday, 18 March 2025

Macquarie House, Launceston, TAS

With cybercrime on the rise, and the average cyber attack now costing small businesses $49,600 per attack, staying secure online is more vital than ever.

Join auDA and the University of Tasmania, School of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) for a small business workshop on how to stay secure online, and the benefits of .au for small businesses. We’ll touch on:

  • Simple, practical steps to enhance your website security and protect your business from common scams and threats
  • Real-world examples of how small business websites are targeted
  • How auDA combats DNS abuse in .au to keep rates well below the global average and how auDA can help in the event of a threat on your website
  • Australian consumer insights - Did you know that half of Australians will only purchase from a website ending in .au?
  • Information on free tools and resources to keep your website secure.

We look forward to you joining us for this valuable learning and networking experience. Spaces are limited, so register today.

Light lunch will be provided.

Please note that photography will take place at this event for promotional and archival purposes. Photographs or recordings from the event may appear on the auDA website, social media accounts and auDA publications.
