The .au Co-Marketing Program (.au CMP) offers eligible registrars the opportunity to apply for funding for marketing activity that aims to grow the .au domain.
The program is open to auDA Accredited Registrars that are in good standing and actively selling .au domain names.
The .au CMP objectives are to:
- Drive quality net growth of .au domains under management
- Build consistency and reach of the .au domain and namespace brands at point of purchase
- Build a diverse, resilient, and competitive registrar industry.

The .au CMP offers eligible registrars access to a range of funding options and.au marketing support.
1. .au Brand Activation Grants
.au Brand Activation Grants are once-yearly grants of $15,000 (inc. GST) that aim to support registrars to increase the visibility and consistency of the .au brand across their websites.
To receive the .au Brand Activation Grant, registrars need to submit an application during the application period that demonstrates they meet the .au brand requirements.

2. .au Campaign Funding Grants
.au Campaign Funding Grants provide support to eligible registrars that intend to run advertising campaigns which seek to grow the .au domains under their management.
Proposed campaigns must meet specific funding and duration requirements to be considered.
Registrars can apply for a maximum of $200,000 (inc. GST) in campaign funding in a financial year.
Campaign funding is offered in three funding rounds throughout the year.
Successful funding under this grant stream will be provided by an upfront payment (of up to $100,000) and the remainder of grant funds paid based on the number of new domain created during the campaign period.

3. Industry incentives
Under the .au CMP, auDA may conduct performance-based incentive programs to support eligible registrars to drive growth in .au domains.
Incentive programs are intended to be offered during periods of auDA-led .au advertising activity.
Registrars will be provided advance notice of any incentive program and will be required to opt-in to it in order to access the incentive.
4. Brand resources
A selection of high quality, white-label .au campaign toolkits and resources will be made available to registrars for their use to support them to engage new and existing customers.
Brand resources will launch in FY 2024-2025.
Applications
Registrars will need to submit an application to receive funding through the .au CMP.

Applications will be reviewed and assessed by the .au CMP Assessment Committee and suitable projects will be recommended to the auDA CEO for final approval.

Reporting
Registrars approved to receive Campaign Grant funding are required to submit activity and acquittal reports as part of the funding terms and conditions.
The .au CMP submits regular activity reports to the auDA Board, and will publish high level overviews of program activity as part of auDA’s regular public reporting.
